CS2 Sensitivity Guide: eDPI, cm/360 and Calculator

Your sensitivity decides how far your crosshair moves when you move your mouse. There is no perfect number, but there is a sensible range for CS2, and two simple measures help you compare: eDPI and cm/360. Use the calculator below to find yours.

eDPI and cm/360, explained

Most CS2 pros play between about 600 and 1200 eDPI, which is roughly 35 to 70 cm per 360° turn. Lower sensitivities help precise aiming at a distance but need a large mousepad.

How to find your sensitivity

  1. Start around 800 eDPI (for example 400 DPI at 2.0 or 800 DPI at 1.0).
  2. Play a few deathmatches. If you often overshoot your targets, lower it a little; if you struggle to turn quickly, raise it.
  3. Change it in small steps (about 5 to 10%) and keep each value for several days.
  4. Once you find it, stop changing it: consistency matters more than the exact number.

Convert your sensitivity from Valorant

Valorant uses a different scale. To get the same speed in CS2, multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.18. For example, 0.4 in Valorant equals about 1.27 in CS2 at the same DPI. The calculator above does it for you.

CS2 Sensitivity Guide FAQ

What is a good sensitivity for CS2?

Most pros play between about 600 and 1200 eDPI (DPI × sensitivity). A good starting point is 800 eDPI, then adjust in small steps.

How do I calculate eDPI in CS2?

Multiply your mouse DPI by your in-game sensitivity. 800 DPI at 1.1 gives 880 eDPI.

How do I convert Valorant sensitivity to CS2?

Multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.18 (with the same DPI). 0.4 in Valorant is about 1.27 in CS2.

Should I use 400 or 800 DPI in CS2?

Both work. Only your eDPI matters for speed; 800 DPI with half the sensitivity of 400 DPI feels the same and can be slightly smoother.
